A data slate is essentially a much larger version of the Data Card. Its defining feature is the transparent glass-alumina screen. The computing core itself and the other electronics are interwoven seamlessly into this shock resistant lattice. Circuits for the quantum processor, microdot displays, low-fi environment sensors, wireless interfaces, holocam, and solid state memory are literally printed onto the carbon substrate that forms the backbone of the system. Boasting a wider interface, larger screen, larger memory, and processing power it is simply a better all around machine. Granted, at the cost of portability and convenience. few Higher-end models have holographic capability.
